The Manatee County Agricultural Museum and the Palmetto Historical Park's month-long salute to agricultural hertiage continues with an exciting event this Friday. The hour-long documentary “Cowboy Country” will be shown at the Carnegie Library in Palmetto Historical Park at 6:30 pm on Friday, March 26th. This film, produced by former Channel 8 anchorman Bob Hite, shares the history of the Florida cattle industry and also illustrates what life is like as a working Florida cowboy and cowgirl.
After the film there will be a dessert social during which several members of the Manatee County Cattlemen will be available for interchange with the audience. This event is free, but reservations are requested. Call 721-2034. The address of the Palmetto Historical Park is 515 10th Ave. West.
