The Winter Science Camp, "-OLOGY" Camp, will be offered December 28 - 31. This camp will combine the best of the "-ologies", including GROSS!-ology, Paleontology, Geology, and Archeology. Each day will be a hands-on study of each of these fun and educational sciences.
Education Director, Jeff Rodgers, will continue to provide his "Science Moments with Mr. Rodgers" during the Winter Camp. Additionally, the instructors will provide quality, hands-on, fun and purposeful educational science instruction that campers can utilize in their science classes at their respective schools. The South Florida Museum camps adhere to the FLDOE Science benchmark "Big Ideas" and use of the Manatee County Schools Science Curriculum Maps for appropriate age level instruction. The camp is open to 2nd – 5th grade students.
