Featuring the work of local photographer Mac CarrawayNovember 21 through January 8
From November 21st through January 8th, local resident Mac Carraway will have photos on exhibit at the Manatee County Agricultural Museum, 1015 6th St. West, Palmetto. Mac is a fine art photographer living in Bradenton, Florida. He has been taking and printing traditional and digital photographs for over 30 years. He specializes in Florida flowers, primarily photographed close up in their natural settings. The printed result is intended to have a botanical or painterly feel, and Mac refers to them as “portraits.” Other main bodies of work include infrared landscapes, agricultural scenes, and creative photographic manipulations in Photoshop. The work is presented in black & white and in color. Mac makes a living in the farming, ranching and nursery business in Manatee and Sarasota County, Florida, and is actively involved in many aspects of the local business, environmental and cultural communities.The Ag Museum is open Tuesday through Friday and the first and third Saturday of the month from 10:00 am – noon and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
