Appliances, furniture, lumber, windows and doors, artwork, light fixtures, patio sets, fencing, rugs and tile … What happens to this stuff when we no longer want or need it?

That's right. It goes into county landfills. Just as everywhere else, our landfills are getting overburdened with waste. In many cases, the items are perfectly usable, just unwanted. Without an alternative, they end up going to waste in the landfill.

Manatee County Habitat for Humanity is proud to offer an alternative: ReStore. ReStore is a discount retail outlet that enables house-building through sales of new, used and surplus donated goods. All donations are tax-deductible and can be picked up for FREE by calling (941) 355-7082.

When you donate, shop or volunteer at ReStore, you help Manatee County Habitat for Humanity help more working families in need by providing the money to build more houses. You help keep hundreds of tons of perfectly usable material out of local landfills. Perhaps best of all though, you get great quality home remodeling supplies and decorating items at a fraction of the cost.
