All three performances of the 2015 Garth Brooks World Tour at Tampa's Amalie Arena for this weekend have been canceled because of a scheduling conflict with the NHL Stanley Cup Final.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are scheduled to play the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 on Saturday in Tampa. Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, were scheduled to perform Friday night and two shows Saturday night at the arena.
"All parties looked into moving Saturday's two ... shows to Sunday," according to a statement from Brooks and Yearwood issued by Amalie Arena. "The issue of getting the network crews and their gear out of the building and getting our crews and gear into the building late Saturday and early Sunday for two shows on Sunday raises serious safety concerns. It is because of those safety concerns that the choice is being made to refund all shows and reschedule depending on finding a date that works for both the arena and the tour."
