First Friday Art Walk: Village of the Arts, 12th Ave. W., Bradenton

The Bradenton Village of the Arts will hold its First Friday and Saturday Art Walk 6-9 p.m. Jan. 2 and 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Jan. 3. Music on Main: Main Street at Lakewood Ranch

Main Street at Lakewood Ranch will host Music on Main concert 6-9 p.m. Jan. 2 and every first Friday of the month. Listen to the Latin dance rhythms of Big Night Out. Beer, wine and food sales will benefit the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance. Bring chairs and blankets, no coolers allowed. Dog on short leashes are permitted. Admission is free. Sarasota Succulent Garden Open House: 1310 38th St., Sarasota

The Sarasota Succulent Society gardens are open 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 17 and every third Saturday of the month. The secret garden, hidden away on the grounds of a historic 1938 depression era house is home to rare and exotic succulents from around the world with a Sarasota history dating back to 1950. Free Film Series: The Riverwalk at Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 North W. C. MacInnes Place, Tampa

The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center will be hosting free “Scene on the Green” screenings of a series of classic movies outside on a massive 20-foot-by-11-foot inflatable screen, featuring the 1960 version of “Ocean’s 11” on Jan. 9, “Fiddler on the Roof” Feb. 13, and “Annie” March 13. All movie times are 8 p.m. Bring blanket or chair. Movie snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. Food, beverages and coolers may not be brought on-site.
