Student artists shine in airport’s art exhibition

Student artists from Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School shined in Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport’s annual Student Art Exhibition and their artwork will be displayed at SRQ for one year.

Award winners in their respective divisions were:

First place — Juliana Howe, (K-second); second — Amy Woodworth (third-fifth); third — Lindsay Leskinen (third-fifth); second — Olivia Little (seventh-eighth); third — Sarah Orlando (seventh-eighth).

Honorable mention winners were:

Madeline Cashen (K), Madelyn Popp (K), Lane Patterson (fourth), Jessica Roberts (fourth), Cheyenne Fauvel (sixth), Toby Howell (seventh), Tiffany Yoon (eighth), Shelby Fauvel (ninth), Avory LaValliere (ninth), Molly Martell (11th), Megan Body (12th), Brooke Cornetet (12th) and Morgan Johnson (12th).

Their art instructors are Leslie DeZiel, Brittany Gerren, Ruth Gross and Peggie Johnson, the fine arts department chair.

n Miller Elementary’s 2009-10 K-Kids, sponsored by the Bradenton Kiwanis Club, are Valerie Bruce, Justine Butterfield, Lorenzo Castro, Isabella Cohen, Chandler Croniser, Chelyse Davis, Jaimie Davis, Savanah Dolan, Kaitlyn Dow, Jessica Floto, Jesscia Greer, Olivia Greer, Stacy Guess, Halee Harris, Kara Marsh, Patrick McManus, Mary Meinberg, Shalynn Padgett, Anthony Phillips, Brooke Poindexter, Zachary Reeves, Danielle Roberson, Emonie Smith and Alex Virgillo.
