Evan Longoria turns 23 today.

No longer can we watch him play, shake our heads in amazement and say, "Man, and he's only 22."

Now, we can watch him play, shake our heads in amazement and say, "Man, and he's only 23."

HEY, FATHEAD

And how does one celebrate their 23rd birthday?

By becoming a Fathead, of course.

Fathead, the number one brand in sports and entertainment wall graphics and the brand best-known for its official life-size images of Major League Baseball players added Longoria to the mighty Fathead Major League Baseball roster.

STAT OF THE DAY

100: Monday's ALDS clincher was the 100th victory of the season for the Rays.

HE SAID IT

"Whoever comes to play them in the championship round, they better be ready. This is a very good ball club."

- TBS analyst Harold Reynolds on the Tampa Bay Rays.

A BASEBALL STATE

Many baseball fans around the country view Florida as nothing more than a good place for spring training. Well, it's also a pretty good place for postseason baseball, as well.

No major league baseball team from Florida has lost a postseason series.

The Marlins are 6-0.

The Rays are 1-0.

UP NEXT

On to the American League Championship Series, where four victories will send the Rays to the World Series.

The ALCS starts Friday, and Joe Maddon and Rays vice president of baseball Andrew Friedman have some decisions to make between now and Friday morning, when the rosters have to be submitted.

The ALCS is a best-of-seven series and that will bring about some change to the roster that beat the Chicago White Sox in the ALDS.

Do the Rays add an 11th pitcher and drop a position player?

If so, do they add Edwin Jackson, who won 14 games but was kept off the ALDS because the Rays only needed four starters?

Or, do they strengthen the bullpen by adding Jason Hammel?

Is Troy Percival healthy enough to return to the active roster?

If they drop a position player, which they likely will, will it be utility player Ben Zobrist or outfielder/designated hitter Eric Hinske, who can also fill in at first and third base?
