Jacklin wins Callaghan charity pro-am

One-time British and U.S. Open champion and Bradenton resident Tony Jacklin was the pro winner at the 2009 Dan Callaghan Tire Charity Pro-Am, held Nov. 5-6 at River Wilderness Golf and Country Club in Parrish. Curtis Schilling was the A Player champion. Brady Chapman was the B Player champion. Mike Carreon was the C Player champion.

Jerry Heard, winner of five PGA events, had a hole-in-one on the par 5 fifth hole.

The annual event raised more than $50,000 for Golfers Against Cancer.
