The third All Star Dad Father & Kids Experience will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on July 11 at Tropicana Field. The entry fee is $15 for a dad and up to four children. The fathers will receive parenting tips while the kids will be treated to interactive, baseball-themed learning stations, games and a “Fun Zone” located around the field. Rays players, Gabe Gross and Lance Cormier, will host the event. Register at www.AllStarDad.com.

4-for-nothing

B.J. Upton, Carl Crawford, Evan Longoria and Carlos Peña batted 1-2-3-4 in the lineup Tuesday for the 62nd time during the past two seasons, yet it was the first time they all went hitless in the same game. The big four were a combined 0-for-19 with seven strikes.

Stat of the Day

41. Consecutive games in which a home run has been at the Trop. Adam Lind’s first inning shot Wednesday off Scott Kazmir meant there has been at least one home run hit in every Rays home game this season. No other major league park can make that claim.

David Price, who said he was “embarrassed” by his outing last Saturday in Texas when he turned in his shortest start of his career (1 1/3 innings, three hits, six runs, five walks, three strikeouts, one home run) has a chance to atone for that when he faces Roy Halladay and the Blue Jays during this afternoon’s series finale.
