BRADENTON - The Pittsburgh Pirates' Grapefruit League game Monday with the New York Yankees was cancelled because of rain.
It was the second rainout this spring at McKechnie Field.
"It is what it is," said Pirates manager Clint Hurdle. "The guys that were scheduled to throw will throw the (simulated) game, and we'll move forward."
Tickets for Monday's game can be exchanged for another Pirates game this spring or a Bradenton Marauders game, based on availability.
The Pirates are off Tuesday and head to Fort Myers on Wednesday night to play the Boston Red Sox.
They return to McKechnie Field on Thursday night to play the Baltimore Orioles at 7:05 p.m.
