FORT MYERS – The first-place Miracle (36-14) displayed their dominance on Tuesday night at Hammond Stadium, blanking the Marauders 5-0. Bradenton finished the game 0-12 with runners in scoring position. The Marauders put a runner at third base with less than two outs in four different innings, but came away empty each time. Taylor Rogers (W, 4-1) scattered seven hits over seven scoreless innings, striking out seven and walking none. Zack Dodson (L, 1-2) matched Rogers pitch for pitch through the first three innings, but Fort Myers broke through in the fourth. Miguel Sano doubled to lead off the innings. Sano scored the first run of the game on a single to left by Matt Koch. The Miracle added two runs off Dodson in the fifth, then tacked on two more in the seventh against the Marauders bullpen. Alen Hanson went 2-for-4 in his first game since being named the Florida State League Player of the Week. His eight-game hitting streak matches the longest by a Marauder this season. Benji Gonzalez and Taylor Lewis each hit triples for Bradenton. Dan Gamache went 2-for-3. Game two of the series is Wednesday at McKechnie Field. The game starts at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
