removed as part McKechnie's offseason $10 million renovation and expansion that will increase the stadium's capacity from 6,500 to 8,500 fans.
"This ballpark is going to be 90 years old next year, so this is really a piece of history fans can take home," said Nate March, the Marauders communications and broadcasting coordinator. "Think of the number of people who have sat in these seats."
Not to mention spilled beer and mustard on them, too.
"A lot of hot dogs have been eaten in those seats," March joked.
It would be about two decades' worth since they were installed in the early 1990s.
The chairs will be replaced by more comfortable models with folding seats and cupholders.
March said they've already received inquiries from as far as Tampa for seats. One caller asked for 20.
"It would make a great decoration in a sports restaurant," March said.
"Or for some of our avid fans who could decorate their homes, their patio or their deck."
Buyers can order seats now, but they won't be available for pickup until Dec. 17-19 at Pirate City, 1701 27th St. E., Bradenton.
"Perfect timing for a holiday gift," March said.
