Palmetto dropped the first set, 19-25, to host Bayshore before winning three straight sets 25-18, 25-23, 25-22 to defeat the Bruins 3-1 Wednesday.
Alexus Norman and Ashlyn Davis each notched five kills for Bayshore, and Jasmine Youngthunder pitched in all over the court, tallying six kills, five assists and seven aces.

Swimming: Palmetto girls, Manatee boys victorious
Maddy Baron roared to 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly victories to lead the Tigers (66) past the Hurricanes (66) and Panthers (24) in the girls' competitions.
Bradenton Christian's Anna Freed placed first in the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle, while the Canes' Jasmine Walsh was the victor in the diving competition, and the team of Alexia Deitemeyer, Abigail Coller, Whitney Ackles and Nicole Clark raced to a victory in the 200 freestyle relay.
In the boys' heats, Connor Valenti took the gold in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke to lead the Hurricanes (124) in a walkover against the Tigers (12) and Panthers (12).
Bradenton Christian's Connor Kesten placed first in two events, the 200 individual medley and the 100-meter butterfly, while the team of Hunter Reynolds, Wesley Bokelmann, Jacob Talucci and Logan Bell earned a gold for the Canes in both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
