Herald's forecast: (1-6)
Kenneth Sommers enters his first season as head football coach for Out of Door Academy. Sommers takes over for Brett Timmons who was let go as coach an athletic director over the summer. The Thunder finished last season with a (2-7) record last year, and are (3-16) over the past two seasons. Sommers is familiar with Out of Door having coached at some capacity as an assistant over the past seven years, and was a part of the 2009 Regional title team.
Skilled positions -- the Thunder will lean on its Special teams, running backs and wide outs to blow off the top off a defense. Coach Dickerson will utilize the speed he has on the roster and do what he can to get his play makers in open space.
Offensive and defensive front line -- while the Thunder will have experience up front the lack of depth will hurt if fatigue or injuries happen to play a role for them this season.
Wingman profile --
Joey Runge will be a go to guy with top wideout Austin Hoppe having graduated. The junior racked up 135 yards receiving on 10 receptions last season. Coach Sommers will also rely on a few unproven guys in Jason Fineberg and Cody Cheney to help with production in the passing game.
