Jesse Fulk finally reached his ultimate goal in his final high school wrestling match.
Manatee High's all-time wins leader defeated Miami Braddock's Milton Hope 4-3 in double overtime Saturday night to win the Class 3A state championship in the 182-pound weight class at Silver Spurs Arena.
Fulk finished second last year to Kissimmee Osceola's Fox Baldwin in the 160-pound class. Baldwin won the state championship, his fifth, in the 170-pound class this year.
Jesse Fulk joins his brother, Andy, as a state champion. Andy Fulk won a state title in 2008.
