The legends of women's golf are returning to Manatee County. And there's a tweak to the format, too.
Team USA and the World team are set to battle in the annual match play tournament, which is similar to the Solheim or Ryder cups, the week of Nov. 1-6 at Palm-Aire Country Club.
On Tuesday at a press conference at the club, it was announced this year's event will expand to a third day of competition and each round will feature 18 hole matches.
The United States is the reigning champion, capturing the 2015 tournament 26-22 over the World at Palm-Aire in southern Manatee County.
