DIRECTIONS: Take Bee Ridge exit off I-75 and head west. Turn right on Beneva Road and go 500 feet to Pinecrest. Turn left; proceed to the club.
HOLE TO REMEMBER: The third hole is a tricky 163-yard par 3 with out-of-bounds left and water on the right side. It plays a little uphill.
UNFORGETTABLE: Players will remember the laid-back attitude and casual surroundings.
INSIDE INFO: Annual memberships are available: $1,300 a couple; $725 single.
DID YOU KNOW?: Village Green was built during the development craze of the late 1960s. Once an old Sarasota orange grove, First Development Corp. originally started the course and sold the property to U.S. Homes, which finished the development.
