HOLE TO REMEMBER: No. 18 is a marvelous finishing hole; 427 yards, well-bunkered with a sloping, elevated green and (often) a prevailing southwest wind.
UNFORGETTABLE: Long drivers will try to cut the corner on the 544-yard, par-5 13th to have a shot at the green with their second, but water along the right side makes such risk-taking dicey. The hole is a severe dogleg right.
INSIDE INFO: The course underwent a renovation a couple years ago to plant the putting surfaces with TifDwarf grass, redo the wooden bridges and fill in low spots.
DID YOU KNOW?: A 13-foot alligator has resided in the 13th-hole pond for years. Pro shop employee Ray Overstreet calls it “the biggest dude I’ve ever seen.”
