Rays restructure ticket prices

The Tampa Bay Rays restructured their ticket prices for 2010, announcing Thursday that tickets for 40 percent of the games are at or below 2009 prices.

There will be five categories for individual games: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Tickets are range from $12 for more than 50 games and $10 for more than 30 games. Pricing on Bronze games starts at just $8 for an Upper Reserved or tbt* Party Deck ticket.

Diamond games are weekend games against the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. Platinum games include all other Saturday games, weekday games against the Yankees and Red Sox as well as Opening Day, April 6 against the Baltimore Orioles. Gold games include the remaining Friday and Sunday games. Silver games include the remaining weekday games except for five select Bronze games.

The Rays have also tweaked their free parking policy. Cars with four or more passengers can park for free in stadium lots for Bronze and Sunday games. For all others, the first 100 cars with four or more passengers will park for free.

The prices are:

Whitney Bank Club: $175 (Diamond), $155 (Platinum), $125 (Gold), $115 (Silver), $100 (Bronze).

Club 105 $130 (Diamond), $120 (Platinum), $100 (Gold), $90 (Silver), $80 (Bronze).

Fieldside Box $140 (Diamond), $115 (Platinum), $90 (Gold), $85 (Silver), $70 (Bronze).

Lower Infield Box $100 (Diamond), $80 (Platinum), $65 (Gold), $55 (Silver), $45 (Bronze).

Lower Box $65 (Diamond), $60 (Platinum), $48 (Gold), $42 (Silver), $33 (Bronze).

Press Level $50 (Diamond), $45 (Platinum), $36 (Gold), $29 (Silver), $22 (Bronze).

Baseline Box $40 (Diamond), $35 (Platinum), $30 (Gold), $22 (Silver), $18 (Bronze).

Loge Box $40 (Diamond), $35 (Platinum), $30 (Gold), $22 (Silver), $18 (Bronze).
