The Bradenton Marauders (12-22) piled up 10 runs on a season high 16 hits in a 10-2 win over the Brevard County Manatees (15-17) on Friday Night at Space Coast Stadium. Eight different Marauders hit safely and six Bradenton batters had at least one RBI. The Marauders offensive onslaught was carried out primarily against Manatees’ ace Brent Suter (L, 7-6). Alen Hanson tripled leading off the game and scored immediately on a single by Junior Sosa. Sosa had three hits and two RBI against the lefty pitcher after beginning the game with just two hits against left-handed pitchers this season. Bradenton scored in each of Suter’s five innings. Suter surrendered 12 of Bradenton’s hits. Dan Gamache hit his 27th double and third home run off the starter, and scored three runs total in the game. Joely Rodriguez (W, 2-3) pitched six scoreless innings for a second straight start. Rodriguez struck out four and did not walk a batter. He picked off two of the three batters that hit safely against him. Rodriguez has won consecutive decisions after starting 0-3 with the Marauders. Orlando Castro returned from the disabled list with a scoreless inning out of the bullpen. Castro struck out two in his perfect inning. Brevard County broke up the shutout against Zac Fuesser in the eighth. With the Marauders leading 10-0, Ben McMahan hit a two-run homer for the Manatees. Fuesser pitched a perfect ninth.
