Bayshore High and Southeast High football fans will have to wait to see the Bruins and Seminoles play a home game this season.
Both the Bruins and Seminoles were scheduled to play at home in next preseason Kickoff Classics on Aug 18.
However, new sod at Balvanz Stadium, Bayshore’s home stadium, and Paul Maechtle Field at John Kiker Memorial Stadium, Southeast’s home stadium, hasn’t settled in from summer installations.
Consequently, Bayshore is now playing at St. Petersburg Dixie Hollins at 7 p.m., and Southeast is traveling to Ruskin Lennard, where former Seminoles player Matt Kitchie is the Longhorns newest head coach.
That game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
The Noles announced the location switch on Tuesday, while the Bruins announced their change on Friday.
