On the afternoon of July 15, I was almost run over by a driver on the corner of 53rd Avenue West and 14th Street West. I had the walk sign and he did not stop until I was standing in front of him and his car. It is a good thing he did or I would have been run over.
I am 80 years old and he could care less about my safety. This is a very bad corner to try to cross and I have come very close to getting hit many times and I don’t want my luck to run out.
So I would like to ask the Florida troopers who I have seen in this area if they might keep a watch out for my and other people’s safety when they have the time to do so.
Never miss a local story.
