Darrell Turner, of Turner Tree and Landscape, has had a serious business reversal, but that does not detract from the enormous good he has done and continues to do in this community. I want to voice my support of this Manatee County businessman and philanthropist, and recognize how much he has given of himself to our community over the past few decades.
As one if the very first Community Ambassadors honored by Goodwill Manasota four years ago, Darrell has engaged others to do the same. In an effort to thank those who have also shared “goodwill” throughout the community, he has planted trees in honor of more than 50 Community Ambassadors at Goodwill’s Corporate Campus.
Darrell helped Goodwill with its “Green Initiative” and every year Turner Tree and Landscape donates its time and resources to help Goodwill be even more environmental friendly. The company recently donated $7,000 worth of landscaping to beautify a Goodwill-attended donation center in Sarasota. In addition, Darrell created a lovely garden at our Corporate Campus in honor of the late Manatee County community leader Rick Fawley and his beloved late wife, Coni.
Darrell Turner continues to help Goodwill and truly believes in the mission of changing lives through the power of work. He is a force for positive change!
Darrell has been a major supporter of numerous other area nonprofits. He has also helped to strengthen the business community through his involvement with various business associations.
I hope that others in Manatee County and beyond will join me in supporting Darrell as he works to rebuild his company. It is my great hope that Turner Tree and Landscape will continue to help our community grow once again.
Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO, Goodwill Manasota
