This letter is in response to Daniel Wiggins' recent letter stating that the nation needs Donald Trump. To the Trump supporters out there, please take another look at this guy.
"You can fool all of the people some of the time, some of the people all the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time."
Before Trump was your favorite politician, he was one of the billionaire puppeteers pulling the strings of the politicians.
To think that Trump has the people's best interests as his agenda contradicts his track record. He is playing on your fears; he is the ultimate salesman. The only thing Trump worships is the bottom line and it is not yours.
Check his background before you fall for his words. Has he done anything to warrant the people's support? There is absolutely no foundation, no continuity to back up his promises. Did he fight for our country? Does he treat his employees with the dignity they deserve? Has he shown any altruistic tendencies in his character?
He wants to ban all Muslims until "we figure out what is going on."
It doesn't take a genius to realize that when a nation (USA) invades another nation (Iraq) and kills 500,000 to 1 million of its citizens while losing approximately 6,800 of our soldiers, that there just might be a reason for many people in this world to think that the real terrorists (and terrorism) are us, Americans, and our actions over the last 15 years.
Just for a moment put yourself in their shoes. Just imagine the resentment and anger you would feel if any nation invaded yours on such dubious pretenses.
Donald Trump is beholden to someone and that someone is himself.
