I and my five dogs have gone to Dr. Gartenberg at the Pet Clinic for over 20 years. No one has mentioned that he has been voted the No. 1 veterinarian in Bradenton for eight-plus years! Why? Because he cares so much about every dog that comes through his doors.
For a year after he saved Padi, who had a large chain embedded around his neck after being tied to a tree, he tried to find a good home for Padi. Had Padi been a "vicious" dog, Dr. Gartenberg would have never tried to find a home, but would have put him down. That's when the great members of his office decided to adopt him.
I have been in his office many times in the last three years with my new dog, and I never even knew Padi existed, because he really never ran around the office. The first article on him caught my eye after seeing the Doc's name, because I never knew about Padi.
I had one pup after another one died, and when I took her to the vet, he told me to be very careful, because she showed bad signs. He was right! My 7-month-old dog bit a friend and I took her back to the kennel. They said she could live her life out there, until she bit the breeder's helper who used to work with Westminster dogs training, thus she was put down.
This letter is to prove Dr. Gartenberg would have never kept Padi if she was "vicious." Please see that the person in charge of her future reads this.
