Fox News failed the task of having a real debate recently. The three moderators became the story instead of being there to lead a true discussion of real issues that face Americans today.
If I want tabloid news, I know where to get it. Never before have I seen or heard such bogus questions being asked to the Republican field.
The opening question surely was a set-up for Donald Trump, a "I gotcha" question. Isn't that what good old Sarah Palin gained so much leverage over?
The Fox channel continuously likes to project itself as the fair and balanced news channel. They surely were not fair and balanced toward the Republicans who are running for the highest office in our country.
Never miss a local story.
Why do people continue to stand behind Donald Trump? Say no more than the hypocrisy that appeared that night by the questions and to me that was present.
My question to all voters is why have we collectively allowed the media to dictate what is important to us versus making them do the job they are paid for -- that a reporter is supposed to do: report the news ... not make the news that suits its owners?
I for one am sick and tired of watching clowns run for office, say the most outlandish things and you get headlines. Where's the beef? Where's the real issues and substance to which you are running on that will make us a better people and country? How many questions at the debate centered around the Iran deal, the cost of living, the cost of medical care, trade deals, war, peace, etc.
I will end by saying once we Americans allow the media to dictate to us who gets the nod to even run for president we have no right to complain when we end up with candidates who are puppets. The Republic National Committee had no business teaming up with Fox News and allowing them to turn a political debate into a farce.
