In regards to Kim Alexander's letter on the subject of texting while on a motorcycle, I just couldn't believe what I was reading!
I started riding bikes in 1976, and the reality of it all is that you always must be aware of your surroundings.
Even when sitting at a red light, you still must be checking your mirrors. There is nothing scarier than hearing the sound of screeching tires coming from behind, hoping you have enough time or room to get out of the way.
Mirrors cannot offer a full field of vision either. Whether you're on a two-wheeler or in a car, it's always best to look over your shoulders.
Never miss a local story.
Texting while riding is totally ridiculous. Please, everyone, stop texting while moving.
Nothing is more important than your own life, or you may kill someone else! The text can always wait, just pull over.
