While standing out on Ware's Creek during Thursday's rain (April 23), it was quite disheartening to see in 10 minutes at least 70 pieces of plastic trash heading downstream toward the Manatee Avenue bridge, and watch the plastic bottles and cups heading out to the Manatee River.
Either someone is dumping trash upstream, or someone keeps their recycle bin so close to the creek that with a heavy rain like today it was able to be washed into the creek.
I thought the "locals" were smarter than that.
The city should get personnel out to talk to everyone who lives along the creek.
Never miss a local story.
