Please allow a few comments on Ms. Myra Jones' March 9 letter.
First, concerning the deja vu ... too bad she didn't go back in time to the Neville Chamberlain fiasco around 1939 that led the U.S. into World War II.
My concern about her statements centers around supporting facts that seem to be missing from her letter. A single example is the statement that "Speaker Boehner would love to see another war" and "Republican motivation is to sabotage anything Obama does."
How does she know this? Where are her substantiating facts?
Never miss a local story.
As far as questioning Obama's patriotism goes, most informed Americans would consider this a no-brainer!
Accusing Mr. Benjamin Natanyahu of being a liar is about as bad as "we" can stomach without any proof.
Another is the identical wishes. Considering all known issues, it seems to me a better statement might be "some salient wishes."
Anyway, how could she know the inside scoop on either party? If she does, then why isn't she right up there helping Obama and his Cabinet cronies bring the U.S. down into third world status?
I'd give her a plus, though, for her last paragraph, which I take to mean our first consideration should be in building up America interests, also Israel and any others must come afterward.
Certainly, we the people should determine our own best interests, supposedly via Congress, which we should be controlling within the bounds of the Constitution, and not via Obama.
For my part, I feel shame for the entire two-party system as things stand now. Words are cheap. In the end it's results that count.
As an American I'll stand for Israel any time. Israel cannot afford the "talk, talk, and more talk" the rest of us are treated to daily, not to mention the huge costs involved that we can't pay for!
