What a caring and generous town Bradenton has been! The family of Ms. Rita Gorley has been showered with love, care, food and compassion in her fight to survive cancer.
Much of our news is tragic, as is the passing of Rita as a loving mother and excellent teacher in the Manatee school system. The community came together to meet her dire needs.
The school where Rita Taught prepared meals endlessly. Waxler Real Estate friends did likewise. Friends did a benefit at the Swordfish Grill to raise funds for medical treatment.
The medical personnel gave Rita appropriate treatment and care. Hospice has been a godsend in their services and compassionate understanding.
Braden River High School has worked with the children and embraced them lovingly. Rita's caregivers have labored with love and sacrifices to meet her needs tirelessly.
I have never seen a community rally together as this community has to help an unfortunate soul. We have a lot to be thankful for, Bradenton. Keep it up!
