Here we go again, ignoring history. "We need a law."
We regulate firearms so the bad guys simply buy them on the street. We deny the suffering law-abiding citizen relief from marijuana use. The "good guy" is given the choice of being in constant pain or going to the "street" where it is abundantly available (ask any teenager). Which would you choose?
We equip our police with a Taser, which inflicts paralyzing-pain; we furnish him with a firearm and send him to the range to assure hitting his target but we don't trust him with a camera, which makes him aware of his duty (and has a history of recording the incident accurately.)
If we don't trust the officer, make the sheriff himself determine the release of the video.
A judge should be the final authority in the matter as to the distribution to the jury and/or public. The media presentations of brutalities prove the necessity of protecting us from our "protectors."
