It is a rare event to find humor in a political ad. Especially since they have literally diminished our lifestyle by invading our homes. Worse, there are no facts in those unwelcome interruptions that can be trusted.
However, I feel a cynical smile appearing when I see the Rick Scott ad calling Charlie Crist corrupt. Reminds me of the saying that a good offense is the best defense.
His other ad is nauseating; the bouncy, happy Scott declaring it is about you. Finally he is showing a personality.
Is this the one he used when "you" supplied him with his Medicare millions? Even with an elderly mother, he had no problem ripping off Medicare for his mansion, private jet, and ranch. And he is still putting himself first and throwing the disadvantaged to the curb. Only a person without scruples would then buy the governorship.
Never miss a local story.
Mr. Personality is not so smug these days. He is scrambling to repair his past narcissistic behavior.
As a Democrat, I voted for Charlie Crist, the Republican. He seemed to want the best for the middle class. He wasn't stopped by party lines.
Scott could have saved many families with the high speed rail. But, he doesn't care who he hurts as long as he can stick it to Obama. Then he misrepresented the cost by millions. He said that was an error; yeah right.
So Charlie Crist changed his mind. Proof that he has done some heavy thinking. Those are the people who help humanity. And if his worst offense is liking Obama, shame on you. He is our president, remember?
Look at all of the people suffering because the Republicans have decided politics first, country last. They won't even vote on ISIS. Remember, they have a place to hide should ISIS invade.
It disturbs me that people are willing to vote for someone who stole from them to sell their soul, as to speak.
I am really out of touch. I come from a family that did not respect nor reward moral lapses.
