"His acts being seven ages ..."

I won't quote the whole passage, but it occurs to me the reason we cannot see through the acts our president and his supporting actors are putting on is because he is an excellent actor.
You don't expect an actor playing Hamlet to come on stage and announce "I'm an actor and this is a play written to entertain the public and keep the audience from seeing what I am about to do."
So don't be too hard on Obama. He's one of the actors who saw that his speaking talent could get him what he wants -- money and fame and power to rule the world. But don't expect his promises to come true.
