Art Jackman is the better choice for Circuit Court judge. Let's look at what he's bringing to the table.
He graduated law school in the top 4 percent of his class. His military experience as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and judge advocate for 27 years speaks volumes to this judicial watcher.
Of our current military veterans coming home, one third have been diagnosed with PTSD. Some will end up in family court. I cannot think of a better person to handle this situation than Art Jackman.
Our current family judges and magistrates are ill-equipped dealing with such matters. Often they bring in so-called "experts" who have never been in the military to help them with family court matters.
This would only put additional stress on our veterans. Art Jackman has the military experience to understand the effects of PTSD of the veterans coming home.
Art Jackman has defended our country and swore to uphold the Constitution not only in defending our country but in the judicial and family court arena as well.
Art Jackman would make a fine addition to the Twelfth Circuit Court, especially in the area of family law for our veterans. Art Jackman would protect our constitutional rights to be a parent, which have been lacking under the current administration. In addition Art Jackman is a veteran prosecutor and former defense attorney.
It's time to bring our courts back in alignment with U.S. and Florida constitutions in which all officers of the court has taken that oath to uphold. The choice should be clear, Art Jackman, Circuit Court judge.
He has my vote.
