Let's start with the Ponzi schemes by two candidates currently running for school board. Living in areas other than their homesteaded residences.
There are reasons when one runs for an elected office that they reside in that area. It makes sure every area of the county has equal representation on the board.
Under their scheme we theoretically could have five board members from the same neighborhood representing us all.
I don't think any of us would like that. It's a countywide election so that everyone has an equal vote. What Frank Brunner and Mary Cantrell are doing is dishonest.
It's not about the east vs. the west. I don't like everything Rick Mills is doing either but the same smear campaigns that coaches, principals and teachers are claiming is exactly what they are trying to do to him.
He is a necessary evil because of the good old boy system that is present in our community.
Finally, I think amnesia would be a good term for some of our past politicians and community leaders. Four years ago Julie Aranibar and Karen Carpenter ran with the dedication to demand accountability from the past superintendent, only to be stonewalled for two years before the reality of what had been taking place was exposed. Two years that they were attacked just as they are being attacked today. Yet they have been the forefront of accountability.
That's why I am publicly supporting them for re-election so they can finish the job they started. This election is about "our" children and the future of our schools. Not the garbage that is being thrown around by others with hidden agendas. Please get out and vote and make your voices heard!
