The new information signs on I-75 remind us to buckle up for safety. That is the least of my safety concerns.
Drivers on I-75 and elsewhere routinely exceed the speed limit, tailgate, fail to signal lane changes, and do not obey pavement markings. Police patrols appear to be rare except for occasional speed traps.
How many lives would be saved, injuries avoided, and insurance claims avoided by people simply obeying the rules of the road and police vigorously enforcing them?
