Allow me to recommend Frank Brunner for your consideration for Manatee County School Board (District 4).
Space does not permit mention of all the good things he stands for and all he wants to do to make our schools better and produce graduates who are ready to be good citizens and good patriots of America.
Some of his many accomplishments do deserve mention. During his previous 10-year tenure on the school board, as stated on his campaign website:
There were 10 consecutive years of lowering the tax millage rate.
Manatee Schools were awarded the Gold Seal for "Best Financial Management Practices in the State of Florida" by Gov. Jeb Bush.
Manatee schools rated in the top five in Florida for percent of tax dollars going into the classroom (instead of administration).
Graduation rates increased, while dropout rates decreased.
Three out of four Manatee schools were rated "A" or "B" by the state with none getting a "D" or "F" rating!
He stands for traditional American family values; as an elder in a local church, a husband whose wife is a vice principal in Manatee County schools, and a father of two boys also in Manatee schools, he stands for the family values clearly taught in Scripture.
Also worth noting is his unashamed, unequivocal pro-life stance. He is concerned about the curriculum and some of the outside groups that have access to our children. We should be, too.
Last, but not least, is his view of "Obama-core." That's the word Mr. Brunner has used to show his opposition to Common Core. He is quite concerned about its invasion of privacy, especially the ability of new technology to collect and store information about our children and their families.
