On Wednesday, July 16, my father-in-law, who is 93 years old, and I, with our ladies, were enjoying breakfast at Perkins on U.S. 41.
He is a World War II veteran who saw action on Iwo Jima and I am a Vietnam-era veteran. We both wore baseball hats depicting our military service.
A young man approached our table and thanked us for our service to our country.
Our server came by shortly thereafter and stated that the gentleman had paid for all of our meals.
Since he had already left the restaurant, we were unable to thank him, so I hope he accepts this notice as thanks for his generosity and kind remarks.
