Cynthia Allen has a commentary in the July 20 Bradenton Herald. I think she has some good thoughts, but she, along with many, do not say our borders are sacred and need to be closed down in order to protect our sovereignty.
Children under the age of 18 need to be given medical attention, food and put on a plane or bus and sent back to wherever they came from.
People over the age of 18 need to be placed in makeshift "tents," border detention camps, for two years and forced to clean up the border of all the trash they left behind coming here. Then they should shipped back to wherever they came from.
The double layer fence with razor wire at the top and bottom with a hard paved road in between has already been paid for and it needs to be completed.
Never miss a local story.
No, the border situation is not complicated! The coward politicians in Washington, D.C. refuse to do the right thing by our American citizens and protect us from invasion.
We are being shot at from south of the border by 50-caliber rifles, Mexican helicopters fly in to our country, with drug cartel snipers placed on mountaintops inside the USA to protect their drug routes and human trafficking.
It is time for the Navy SEALs to hunt down these snipers and end that operation and United States Marine Special Operation Units placed all up and down the border and seal it off at extreme cost.
It is time to put the U.S. citizen first.
I long for presidents like Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan. We have not had real men since them.
Please start going after the cowards in D.C. and make them shut down the border and finish what we paid for.
