I keep reading about new subdivisions being approved in Manatee County. Prosperity, right?
But what about the county services required to take care of the growing population that will accompany this prosperity?
County commissioners don't seem to be looking forward enough to provide needed funds for added law enforcement personnel and first responders to handle the growing population.
As slow and as cumbersome as the budgetary planning and systems are, things are always in arrears and never seem to catch up to the demand.
The process really needs to be quickly changed so county service agencies can properly plan ahead for the increasing needs.
