Prism Youth Initiative, Manatee County's only established organization dedicated to supporting, affirming, encouraging, and empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth ages 13-23, would like to thank the Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for their generosity.
After a youth from Prism gave a talk about his life experience growing up gay in this town during a recent Sunday service, the Fellowship graciously embraced Prism by spontaneously collecting and donating over $800 for direct youth services.
Additionally, they extended an invitation for the youth to meet at their facility until Prism finds a permanent home.
Although Prism has no religious affiliation, the group does meet every Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. in the Fellowship's Social Meeting Room, located at 322 15th St. W., Bradenton.
Never miss a local story.
