Manatee County should acquire land for new bridge to Anna Maria Island

I am wondering why the Manatee County commission has not required the developers of that property on the corner of 75th street and 53rd Avenue to set aside enough land to extend 53rd Avenue to the intercoastal and a future bridge to the Longboat Pass area.
