Thirteen-year-old stabbed at 1:45 a.m. in park (Herald report, June 30).
I am avid newspaper reader, if for no other reason than to be amazed. What kind of guardian allows a 13-year-old to be out playing basketball at that hour?
If we weren't in the house at dusk at that age and Mom had to come find us, well, I'll just say it never happened.
I don't think it's just because I'm old, just common sense that kids of that age need to be in bed at 2 a.m.
I thought most of our parks are closed at that hour to keep this kind of thing from happening on taxpayer-supplied facilities.
