This is a response to Peter Stasiowski's June 12 letter, stating the president as well as four other American officials should be traded to Mexico because of his disagreement with the Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl trade release rather than the release of Sgt. Tamooressi's with Mexico.
Let's get all facts before jumping to conclusions of what actually happened in Sgt. Bergdahl's release. How easily can we forget the Iran-Contra incident under President Reagan's administration during the 1980s and the trading weapons with the enemies?
Was the country's national security threatened then? And were you willing in suggesting trading the president of the USA to a foreign country?
Through our election process we elect our president by a majority vote and give the president the rights to make national decisions.
However, when we don't agree personally with the actions and policies of his office, do we suggest trading our president and his staff out of the country?
How can this be a major step in recovering the USA as well as the constitution?
So when someone makes a suggestion to trade the president and his staff to a foreign country, just make certain that those making these types of suggestions are also included with that list.
