On June 18, 2013, 61 percent of the voters said NO on the special election sales tax increase for indigent health care in Manatee County.
On June 17, 2014 (almost exactly one year to the date since the special election), the Manatee County Commission will meet to decide whether or not to have a $196,000 study and plan developed for indigent health care.
The 2013 election provided the electorate's position on increasing taxes. Why is the commission even having this discussion now? Don't the commissioners realize they are elected to represent We The People?
