Since World War II, I have been under the care of the Veteran's Administration Health Care. During the last 60 some years, I have been under the care of three different Florida V.A. hospitals, numerous outpatient clinics and many different doctors.
The present outpatient clinic in Bradenton is by far the best outpatient clinic I have ever been in. The check-in people, the nurses and doctors are all outstanding. My doctor, Dr. James Carnahan, is excellent. The other doctors who have treated me, likewise, have all given me first-class care.
Bay Pines Medical Center also has treated me with good service the few times I have been there. I believe the negative problems that we have recently seen with some other Veteran's Health Centers are isolated cases within their own centers. To my knowledge, there are no such problems within the two centers that I have visited over the years and I have complete confidence in them.
With the number of veterans now at an all-time high, there are bound to be honest mistakes from time to time. It has happened to me. But the deliberate wrongdoings we recently see and hear about, I have seen no such goings on here locally.
