It seems our Republican friends in Tallahassee have decided to be compassionate conservatives. Where have I heard that line before?
Now I remember: George W. Bush used that line before he got us involved in two wars and gave those big tax breaks to the rich.
Why is it that politicians wait until election years to move to the middle of the political spectrum, trying to show us what wonderful representatives they are and to fool you into voting for them again?
Our Gov. Rick Scott is one of those who found his compassion during this re-election year when his numbers are low.
Don't be fooled by these politicians because how they acted in their first term is how they will act in the second.
Remember they can only serve two (governor, Senate) or three (House) terms because of term limits, and they will have no incentive to be compassionate if re-elected.
Vote the man by his record, not his party affiliation or how much money he raised from special interests to spend on his campaign. You will find it an improvement over voting straight party line whether you vote Democrat or Republican.
Their record never changes no matter how many lies are told in their campaign ads.
