Is it too early to be thinking about the 2014 elections? The billionaire right-wing extremist Koch brothers don't believe so.
They're already spending multimillions everywhere to get legislators they've chosen elected this fall.
If we let them buy the U.S. Congress, it will be theirs to use as they please. Don't allow that to happen.
Here are some things to consider before you vote in November:
Never miss a local story.
The GOP regularly lies about the Affordable Care Act. In his smear campaign against Alex Sink, David Jolly repeated the untruth numerous times that the ACA will take $716 billion from Medicare.
Republicans fear that Obamacare will be a success, at which point voters won't let them take it back.
A friend, whose company dropped his costly and ineffective insurance, spent 45 minutes online and secured much better coverage -- lower deductibles and lower co-pays at a smaller premium from a top insurer.
Are you poor, a person of color, someone who doesn't feel more guns means less killing; are you the child of an undocumented alien, a woman, a member of the LGBT community or a non-Christian?
If so, Republican-controlled state legislatures have already proposed or enacted laws that can take your rights away. And the GOP's goal is to pass that same legislation at the federal level. With unlimited funding provided by the Kochs, they'll achieve that objective, unless we stop them.
By letters to the editor, your messages to elected officials and by your demands that the Constitution be upheld in all aspects, tell the Koch brothers, the NRA, the extreme right and the GOP that America is not just their skin color, their gender, their faith and sexual orientation, it's all of ours, whether they like it or not!
