Benefit of the doubt?
I read the article about George Zimmerman with interest. He is suffering from PTSD, is homeless and jobless. He blames his plight on media coverage, yet he gave the interview to Univision.
For what purpose? Publicity? Sympathy? No matter.
At the end of the story, he asks that everyone give him "the benefit of the doubt like I do, and want to forgive, want to go on with their lives."
Perhaps if he had given Trayvon Martin "the benefit of the doubt," the outcome would have been different. For both men.
